Title sounds familiar? Well I figured since Chinese New Year is around the corner, I decided to make tang yuan for a change this year. Oh man, it took me two tries to make it and I'm still frustratingly unsatisfied with the product.
In my opinion, I think tang yuan is way harder to prepare than xiu long pao because you have to make the dumpling round whereas you don't have to strain your fingers into making the xiu long pao round. Basically, both of them wouldn't turn out well if there's even a tiny hole.

The 1st batch may look more promising, but trust me, the 2nd batch is way better in terms of it being fully cooked and filled with black sesame paste. Looks can be deceiving. Will upload the recipe soon :)
