21st December will definitely be a night to remember for me and I guess for most of the 1993 KDU babies. Girls were rushing around to get ready for their biggest night yet, guys nervously wondering how their date or the night would turn out to be.
The night started off with dad dropping Sook Teng, my date and I off the hotel at 7.30p.m. We went outside the ballroom and waited until we could go in. Finally when the time arrived, we went in and took our seats. Cameras were snapping here and there, flashes one by one incandescently flashing at gorgeous girls and handsome gentlemen with ebullient smiles on their faces. Their eyes glowing incessantly with glee as the event was about to start.
A performance came not to long after everyone took their seats. Ean was the host of the night, yes the Ean from hitz.fm. Right after that, our tummies were rumbling endlessly so dinner was serve. It's a buffet dinner, it wasn't extravagant nor expensive but nevertheless it was delicious.
There were 3 lucky draws session, 4 winners per session. Sadly but not to my surprise I didn't manage to get lucky tonight. Haha, aw shucks. There were band performances as well. Nicole went on stage and sang because one of the singers couldn't make it to the event. She was awesome despite being a last minute back up singer.
There were games as well. The a nominee for best dress girl and guy had to do all cat walk down the walk way. A few guys were called up on stage by Ean to participate in a rather hilarious yet embarrassing and dirty game. It involves bananas between a guy's tight and marshmallow in his mouth. His partner then needed to eat it while being blindfolded.
Then it was the nominee for prom king and prom queen to go on stage. The nominated prom queens had to walk down the run way -tantamount to what the nominated best dress female did- but they had to give a 'sexy' pose at the end. It was, I don't know, 2 minutes of fame?
Unfortunately, I had to participate in this gruelling task as well because I'm one of the nominee. Since it was the last time I'll ever to do something stupid and unforgettable in front of everyone, I thought ya know what, I'll just do it. The nominated prom kings on the other hand had to do a slow, seductive dance in front of the nominated prom queens on stage. Haha, I still remember Arya's cell phone attempt.
Overall, the night was tremendously exciting, exhilarating and magical. This would have never worked out without Jia Lin's organisation and the committee!! Thank you so much guys! And thx Juinn, for being my date.
