Running everywhere

After almost a year of not attending a wedding dinner, I finally attended another. The reason behind why I dislike wedding is the fact that they serve the food late. I really don't like sitting there, waiting for about an hour and a half just for the food to be serve... It's really irritating and makes me livid.

Since I haven't been to a wedding in decade -fine, a year- I found it quite interesting. It gave me a nostalgia scene. What to know a secret? I was a flower girl once! I'm not joking. Twice in fact. Once was with my cousin, male, the other was with my other cousin, female. It was fun. I think I was around 8 years old. That was the second and third time i wore such heavy make up, the first was my kindergarten concert.

Moving on, I'm here to blog about the lovely couple who got married today. Anyone did you see the movie 27 Dresses? I arrived there at 8p.m. I saw my cousins and sat beside them. We ate peanuts at the same time mingled.

PS: little kids can be so amused by tiny things

"Oh, what's inside the box?" *tears it open*

"WOW! CHOCOLATE!" *tries to open one*

*Opening was unsuccessful* "I'll poke it instead!" *poke poke*

PPS: Have I ever mention that I find kids annoying? I wonder how I'm going to have a child when I grow up...-.-

Dinner wasn't served until 9p.m. Scrape that, it was served around 9.10p.m since the bride and groom had to make their special entrance and the so call 'opening ceremony'.

When I was young, I used to love the 'opening ceremony', I love the way they abruptly switched off the lights and make us sit in complete darkness. I love the silent environment when the lights are off. I especially love it because it indicates that food is about to serve.

However, as the whole scene replayed today, I can't help but wonder, why do they have to hold the food -usually the four season dish- and walked around in circles, take a bow then only served the food? Isn't the entrance of the bride and groom enough? If anyone can give me a good, sensible reason then by all means, go ahead. :)

I figured you would have know the first dish right from the start. For some bizarre reason, it always starts with the four season dish.

The wedding was a bit on the modern site, they had live performance to entertain the guest.

I don't really see the point of letting them suffer on the stage. There were practically no one listening to them. Might as well just play songs from the speakers? Ah well, I'm not here to criticize them. Although, the songs they sang were pretty good. It was soothing to the ears.

So gents? How about the girl? Hot for you? :D

The bride came out with a new gown. It was baby blue in colour. It showed off her shoulder, a gorgeous gown indeed. As usual, they had the same 'yam xing' session and cake cutting.

After the whole event was over, the bride went back to her changing room to change while the groom went to every table and did 'yam xing' session.
